Essential Driver Training in Limerick

What is EDT?

Essential Driver Training (EDT) is a mandatory programme of 12 driving lessons for learner drivers in Ireland. Each lesson covers a specific skill you need to become a safe, competent driver.

All 12 lessons must be completed with an RSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) and logged in your official logbook before you can sit your driving test.
